Youth Advocacy

Youth Advocacy empowers young people to make a difference.

Young people have had opportunities to participate or lead different advocacy initiatives, within our programmes or in cooperation with other NGOs, institutions and networks, at the local, national and international level.

Advocacy has helped youth vulnerable groups to get their voice heard. Advocates have helped them understand their rights, to make informed decisions about their life and support them to speak up about things that matter to them. Through sports, board games, art, concerts, drawing, photography, essays, flash mobs and many other means, young people have called for local stakeholders’ attention, government institutions, leaders of communities and other stakeholders in different levels of power. They have advocated for the right to life, for better schools, for children living in the street, for more chances for vulnerable people to have equal rights and a better life, advocating domestic and gender based violence; for women human rights in prisons and for peace and reconciliation, fighting extreme violence and radicalization.
